Hamner Theater
Cast members from the theater performed an original short play for Rotarians from Nelson, Staunton and Waynesboro on the evening of September 3, 2008. Approximately 110 were in attendance for the District Governors official visit to members of 5 local Rotary Clubs, who gathered for dinner, fellowship and the enjoyment of local talent. This event inspired the suggestion of a Dinner/Theater fundraiser in partnership with the Nelson Rotary, the Hamner Theater, and the Rockfish Valley Community Center. SUGGESTIONS FROM THE COMMUNITY AND FROM HAMNER THEATER ENTHUSIASTS WOULD BE APPRECIATED.
For your refererence, Rotary is committed to four avenues of service, including club, community, vocational and international, with the goal of peace through understanding. Nelson Rotary supports numerous community efforts and worked in partnership with Pharsalia to provide a Nelson bicentennial event in 2007.
