A Message from Co-Artistic Directors, Boomie Pedersen & Peter Coy, (Dec, 2008):
Many thanks to you all for your support over the past four years. As we come to the end of the second year of our three-year challenge grant, we look at what we have accomplished with your help: eleven productions, two playwrights conferences, participation in the Capitol Fringe Festival, commissioned works for Wintergreen Performing Arts, joint productions with Charter Theatre in DC, Mill Mountain Theatre in Roanoke and The Wayne Theater Alliance in Waynesboro, monthly musical cabarets, special events and most recently the ongoing Virginia Playwrights Initiative (VPI).

Our plans for the coming year include Richard III, the inaugural production of the Nelson County Shakespeare Festival; two productions in the spring (which will be announced soon); a new version of Ibsen's The Wild Duck by Doug Grissom in the fall; a revival of The Homecoming, as well as monthly cabarets, community events like Youth Movie Night, Chick Flick Night, our ongoing Improv groups HIT and hit, and more new play development through VPI.

The third year of our challenge grant began on Dec 1st. All donations will be matched by our generous anonymous donor. Where else can you double your money so easily? All donations are tax-deductible.

Please mail your check to the Hamner Theater to P.O. Box 106, Nellysford, VA, 22958.
